The year 2020 has seen no shortage of terrible, not-so-fun news surrounding public education, which means you might have missed all the shining gems that are also circulating. ATPE wants to make sure you don’t miss the good stuff ever again.

That’s why we’re launching “Positive Referrals,” a biweekly email newsletter that focuses on the good #publiceducation news—the positive stuff, the stuff you may have missed.

Were we inspired by actor John Krasinski’s “Some Good News”? Maybe a little bit. But we believe that in challenging times, like, say, a worldwide pandemic that’s changed the way classrooms across the world function for the foreseeable future, educators could use some positive referrals. The newsletter will refer you to positive, fun, exciting public education news from over the last two weeks.

Educators, over the past several months you’ve become shining beacons of ingenuity, creativity, warmth, and compassion. And you’ve helped make sure Texas students learned and their needs were considered. Let us share some of your and your colleagues’ accomplishments—the good stuff—with you. You could use some more joy in your inbox.

“Positive Referrals” launches October 12 and goes out every other Tuesday after that. Subscribe today!
