Summit Roundup: Deadlines, Details, and Professional Development!

The 2019 ATPE Summit in Houston is about a month away! Summit is our annual gathering for members to have a little (or a lot!) of fun while also learning from and connecting with fellow educators from across Texas. Here’s the latest roundup of important details and deadlines so that you can make the most of your summit experience.
  • The housing and certification deadline is June 17. Remember that local unit and region presidents are the only ones who can register delegates/attendees for summit.
  • The deadline to purchase tickets to the Houston Astros vs. Texas Rangers game is June 17. This year, ATPE members have a special opportunity to attend an Astros vs. Rangers baseball game while also raising funds for ATPE-PAC* at the same time. Talk about a home run! Tickets are $75 on a first-come, first-served basis. Click here for more information!
  • Arrive early on Wednesday, July 17, to hit up all the professional development sessions that afternoon. Attendees can earn two hours of CPE on Wednesday afternoon and a third hour by attending the legislative update Wednesday evening. The first session starts at 3:15 p.m., so make sure to arrive at the Marriott Marquis hotel in time to check in and be ready for the first slate of presentations. Visit for descriptions and times.
This year’s summit has plenty of activities on the schedule to match the energy and excitement of Houston, but don’t just take our word for it! We’ve got a whole lineup of videos for you so that you can get a sneak peek of what’s to come: View a quick summary of what’s to come by clicking here; get an idea of the Marriott Marquis’s layout by clicking here, and see dining options here; and watch our video about the Astros game here. See you at the summit!

I accidentally deleted my summitt badge. Is there a way you could email me a copy of the email. My member number is 1865. I sent a response in confirming the correctness of the badge.
