Apply for ATPE Awards Now

ATPE award season is here. Here’s everything you need to know about submitting nominations and applications for some of ATPE’s best known awards.
 
Charles Pickitt Educator of the Year Awards are presented to educators who change lives and inspire the best in their students and peers.
 
  • Awards are presented in five categories: Administrator, Associate, Elementary Teacher, Secondary Teacher, and Special Services Educator.
  • Recipients each receive $5,000.
  • The nomination deadline is Feb. 1, 2019.
  • Nominees must complete an application by March 1, 2019.
  • Self-nominations are not accepted!
 
Local Unit of the Year Awards honor exceptional ATPE local units.
 
  • Awards are presented in four categories: local units with 1200 members, local units with 201500 members, local units with 501-plus members, and university local units.
  • Each winning local unit will receive a check for $1,000.
  • Applications/nominations are due by March 1, 2019.
  • Self-nominations are allowed for this award.
 
Doug Rogers Campus Representative of the Year Awards are presented to outstanding ATPE volunteer leaders.
 
  • These awards recognize volunteers in three categories: local units with 1200 members, local units with 201500 members, and local units with 501-plus members.
  • Each winner will receive $1,000.
  • Winners’ local units will each receive $250 for future local unit activities.
  • The nomination/application deadline is March 1, 2019.
  • Self-nominations are not accepted!
