Mark your calendars for ATPE at the Capitol!

Now that the elections are over, we can set our sights on the next legislative session—which means it’s time for our 2019 ATPE at the Capitol event. This is one of ATPE’s most popular events, hosted every two years, in which we help members make their presence felt (and heard!) at the Texas Capitol. We hope you’re as excited about it as we are!

The good news is that registration for ATPE at the Capitol will open up in December. This is your chance to advocate for your profession alongside hundreds of your fellow ATPE members from across the state.

On Sunday, Feb. 24, you’ll learn about issues facing the 86th Texas Legislature, gain advocacy tips from the ATPE lobby team, and hear where public education is headed. Plus, you can earn continuing professional education credit for attending. There’s no registration fee for this event, and travel incentive funds are available for eligible ATPE local units and members.

On Monday, Feb. 25, we’ll head to the Capitol to speak directly with decision makers and watch the legislature in action.

We’d love to see you in Austin for this exciting event. Mark your calendar today! Information on how you can register for this event will be provided in the coming weeks, so please be on the lookout.
