ATPE's Lobbyists Advocate for You

ATPE's team of lobbyists are hard at work supporting pro-education legislation at the Texas State Capitol. Here's a look at what they are trying to do for our members this year:

  • Get more funding for public schools
  • Secure additional funding to help offset teachers' healthcare costs
  • Support legislation that reduces high-stakes testing
  • Oppose vouchers and the privatization of public schools
  • Support educator quality initiatives along with revamping the State Board for Educator Certification process
Keep up with ATPE's lobbyists through Teach the Vote, a unique website dedicated exclusively to education advocacy.
