The ARLO Bookmobile travels to five different locations throughout Arlington so students can get two free books to read over the summer.

With a grant from the Arlington ISD Education Foundation, the ARLO Bookmobile has acquired a new trailer to increase its inventory. The bookmobile is operated by the district’s library media services department and several school librarians and travels to select locations across Arlington ISD to provide any student in the district two books to read and keep—for free—according to the district’s press release.

The bookmobile’s travels throughout Arlington will continue through July. Students in the district can click this link to view the graphic on the Arlington ISD website that lists all the dates, times, and locations for the bookmobile’s travels.

“One of the key factors in building literacy skills, vocabulary development, and academic success is whether children have books at home to read,” Arlington ISD library specialist Lesley Cano said in the district’s press release.
