The Latest on the 2020 ATPE Summit

As the situation with the coronavirus evolves rapidly, we wanted to update ATPE members on plans for the 2020 ATPE Summit.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are delaying the opening of ATPE Summit registration and housing to May 1. We realize you have a lot on your plates as you adapt to a new way of supporting and educating students. At the same time, COVID-19 has dramatically impacted the events industry, and as a result, hotels are closing temporarily or only operating with minimum staff.

As you all know, this situation is fluid. We are staying on top of all government orders and how they will affect ATPE operations. Our utmost priority is the safety and health of our members and our attendees at any ATPE function. We will continue to update you as the picture becomes clearer, and we encourage you to check atpesummit.org for event information and answers to frequently asked questions. For now, we are still looking forward to celebrating ATPE’s 40th anniversary with you at the ATPE Summit July 9–11.

Amid the rapidly developing situation, we’re excited to announce our keynote speaker, Trevor Muir, author of The Epic Classroom: How to Boost Engagement, Make Learning Memorable, and Transform Lives and professor at Grand Valley State University. Read more about him here.

This year at summit, you can expect to:
  • Learn and grow. Enjoy a curated selection of continuing professional education (CPE) opportunities from ATPE and our strategic partners
  • Lead and govern. Learn what’s at stake in the 2020 elections from ATPE Governmental Relations. Receive training in effective ATPE leadership at the local unit and region levels. Shape the future of your association during the annual ATPE House of Delegates meeting.
  • Celebrate and connect. Gather with friends old and new at special evening receptions and the ATPE Awards Brunch. Be prepared for some sweet surprises and a roaring good time.

 Stay tuned for more information.
