Volunteer for ATPE, even if your district doesn’t have a local unit
ATPE Ambassadors serve as the voice of ATPE in districts without an ATPE local unit. Ambassadors volunteer for the association by:
Representing ATPE and recruiting members at their district’s new-teacher and general-teacher orientations.
Distributing membership materials and asking colleagues to join ATPE.
Sharing information about ATPE benefits and activities and legislative happenings throughout the year.
As an ambassador, you’ll volunteer in capacities and commitment levels that suit your preferences and comfort levels. The ATPE state office will provide you with the training and tools you need to succeed.
Ambassadors can also take the next step and help charter a new ATPE local unit in their district with assistance from their regional representative.
