Scholarship Tips

searching early.
- Be persistent.
- Fill out scholarship applications neatly and completely.
- Watch out for scholarship scams or companies that require
a credit card to perform a search. You should never have to
pay to get a scholarship.
Student Loan Tips
- Your
student loan interest might be tax-deductible. Contact your
tax advisor or the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for
details.
- If you have problems with your school, lender, servicer or
guarantor regarding your student loan, contact the
Department of Education’s Student Loan Ombudsman office.
