ATPE offers 41 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit through free online courses. Click here to see available courses and to get started.
In addition to our regular online professional development courses, ATPE has collaborated with the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA), the Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented (TAGT) and ACTIVE Life to provide ATPE members FREE professional learning opportunities for CPE credit during the 2013-14 school year. ATPE Book Circle
The ATPE Book Circle is an opportunity for educators to earn CPE credit on their own time, while learning with and from other Texas educators.
Quarterly, participants in the ATPE Book Circle read a book related to educator professional development and discuss the book on the ATPE Idea Exchange and earn CPE credit upon course completion. Previous books studied include Rafe Esquith's There Are No Shortcuts and A Framework for Understanding Poverty by Ruby K. Payne. To learn more, visit the ATPE Idea Exchange.
The ATPE Teacher Support Program is designed to provide both live and online support to teachers who are in their first through third years in the classroom, or who are new to a grade level or content area.

Videos of ATPE Summit Presentations
ATPE members may access videos of presentations from past ATPE Summit and Professional Learning and Networking (PLAN) events. Viewing these videos may count as "independent study" activities (not to exceed 20 percent of required clock hours) toward standard certificate renewal.
To view the videos, click on the links below. After viewing, print out a CPE certificate for your personal professional development files, and complete the essay question included on the certificate.
