ATPE News, Summer 2009

The thank-you files (510k PDF)
This spring, ATPE News asked members to dig into their files and share thank-you letters and artwork they had received from students. The response to this request was tremendous; we received far more submissions than we could ever print in the pages allotted. In this issue, we present the first edition of “The Thank-You Files,” a collection of the stories of appreciation and notes of thanks that remind Texas educators why they choose to serve students each and every day.

ATPE-initiated legislation
ATPE worked with several legislative offices to have bills filed on our behalf during the 81st legislative session. Drafted by members of the ATPE lobby team, the bills reflect ATPE’s top legislative priorities.

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a homeroom hero!
The educators who attended the 2009 ATPE state convention made decisions that will help ATPE support Texas educators.
