Welcome to Region 4 ATPE. One might describe our region and local units as cosmopolitan because the city of Houston is a major part of our region. However, one does not have to travel very far to find the rural side of Region 4 and the ATPE local units in those schools.

Like the state ATPE, we are composed of a wide variety of school districts and locals. Like all ATPE members across the state, we enjoy the protection, advocacy and resources that the state ATPE has to offer. Also, in Region 4, we encourage our members to become active at the local unit and regional levels and by representing our region at the state level. There are many positions for volunteers in our local units—campus representatives, local committee members and chairpersons, and local officers. Then, on a regional level, we offer positions for involvement as committee members, chairpersons and officers that represent our more than 14,000 members. We also have several regional members chosen by the ATPE state president to be members of state committees.

So, we invite you to become a part of our ATPE family—member, volunteer and leader.
