Opportunity to testify before SBOE on science TEKS

The State Board of Education (SBOE) will hear public testimony on proposed revisions to the science Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) on Wednesday Nov. 19. The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in Room 1-104 of the William B. Travis Building, 1701 N. Congress Avenue, in Austin. However, public testimony is expected to be the last item on the agenda that day.
If you would like to testify, you must register in advance by telephone, fax or in person. Speakers may register only between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday Nov. 14 and Monday Nov. 17. We encourage any ATPE member who wishes to testify to sign up as early as possible on Friday morning. Register by phone at (512) 463-9007 or by fax at (512) 936-4319.
