Renew today!
The start of a new school year also brings the start of a new ATPE membership year. Some educators’ memberships are automatically rolled over from year to year, provided certain conditions are met. Others must complete new membership applications and send them to the ATPE state office. If you are unsure whether your membership will automatically renew or if you must submit a new application, contact your local unit president or the ATPE state office. Don’t delay! Renewing today ensures that you continue to receive the many great benefits that come with ATPE membership. If you know you need to renew, you can do so online at www.atpe.org/JoinATPE. (You can also print a copy of the 2010-11 application here to mail in to the state office.)
Also, if you made any changes to your contact information this summer—if you moved, changed your name, switched districts, etc.—please let the ATPE state office know so you don’t miss any important information. Note: Memberships are not automatically transferred from one district to the next, even if you were previously on rollover. Update your contact info in one of three ways:
Look for your membership card
ATPE membership cards are mailed to members approximately three weeks after their applications are received by the ATPE state office. If you joined/renewed more than three weeks ago and still have not received your card, ask your campus rep or local unit president when your application was sent to the state office. If you sent your application directly to the ATPE state office, please call ATPE Member Services at (800) 777-ATPE.
